Trial results in apricot
We tested the effectiveness of the Green Nano plant-care product in 2019 in the Szécsény area in an apricot (Armeniaca vulgaris) orchard. The aim was to assess what protection the product provides for the fruit trees and what effect it has on the quantity and quality of the crop.

Trial conditions
The plants in the trial area remained healthy throughout the growing season; the results were not influenced by significant pest or disease pressure.
- Soil pH
- Slightly acidic
- Texture
- Medium (loam)
- Lime content
- Lime-deficient (CaCO₃ < 0.10%)
- Nutrients
- Poor nitrogen supply, good phosphorus (P₂O₅) and potassium (K₂O) supply
Weather
- April: cool and dry
- May: warm and wet
- June: warm and dry
- July: warm, but wetter
Trial methodology
The trials were carried out in accordance with the Fungicide and Bactericide Testing Methodology, the Official Regulator and Nutrient Testing Methodology (Chapter 4.5) and the methods set out in the trial protocol.
We compared the effect of Green Nano with a captan-based fungicide, whose carcinogenic effect is still under investigation.
Results and findings
Effectiveness against diseases
- Green Nano effectively blocked the development of Monilinia rot.
- It was just as effective as the captan-based fungicides available on the market, but with natural ingredients.
Yield and quality
- We harvested larger fruit from the treated plots.
- More fruit could be harvested from the areas treated with Green Nano.
- The average fruit weight on the treated plots was higher than in the control plots.
Natural crop protection and higher yields
- Green Nano strengthens the plant’s immune system, helping it to resist diseases.
- Long-term use of the product results in healthier and stronger fruit trees.
Recommendations for using Green Nano
- Apply 6–8 times from the start of flowering
- Used at the prescribed rate, it not only provides protection but also has a significant yield-increasing effect
Green Nano has been proven effective in protecting apricot trees and increasing their yield, while being gentle on the environment.
